My studio, shop and home are in a magnificent historic 1880s barn in Greensboro, Vermont. My watercolor paintings depict the changing seasons, pastoral settings, the character of local architecture and the color and moods of everyday life in the Northeast Kingdom. For over 30 years I have also worked with clay; it is a wonderful material that can be formed into just about anything imaginable including dragons! I appreciate the opportunity and challenge of my relationship with clay. Depending on the moment, the results might be serious or whimsical, simple or decorative, but almost always functional. I use form, texture and color in order to express a wide variety of characteristics. All my pieces are individually glazed and handmade from white stoneware or porcelain. My porcelain jewelry is comfortable and enjoyable to wear and there is something very special about drinking tea from a beautiful handmade cup that was poured from the mouth of a dragon.
